The third and final Crofty Maths Challenge of 2019 was held on Tuesday at Heartlands. This time it was the turn of the Year 5 and 6s from the different Crofty schools. It was a glorious day and all the participants were excited to head outside and start the first activity – the QR code trail around Heartlands. During the afternoon, 7 fabulous helpers from Roskear were once again on top form – running their respective carousel activities, keeping score and presenting all the children with their certificates (and sweets!) at the end of the day.
After the third and final challenge (a Kahoot quiz), the scores were calculated. Weeth took home 3rd place with a brilliant 111 points, with Portreath just pipping them to the post with 112 taking 2nd place. The winners with an amazing 126 points were Illogan with 126 points. A huge congratulations to all those children who took part – you are all Maths stars!
