On Monday, the first Crofty Maths Challenge of 2019 took place! The Year
1s and 2s were the first to step up to the challenge, tackling not only a
QR code trail which took them all over Heartlands, but also numerous
different problem solving activities and a quiz on the iPads to finish!
With 10 schools attending, we had a brilliant day and everyone was buzzing
about the Maths. Luckily, to help in the smooth running of the event, we
had some helpers from Roskear in the form of their House Captains! They
did a wonderful job throughout the day, helping the children as well as
running some of the acitivites.
Taking home the trophy this time was Pennoweth, with a massive 148 points! In second was Illogan with 132 points and closely behind was Weeth with 128. A huge well done to everyone that attended.
