Last week, a selection of Year 1 and 2 pupils took part in the Crofty Maths Challenge Day! All the schools in the trust came together for a Maths competition, with a QR trail, a carousel of challenges and a quiz to complete! Crofty Schools Raise Money for Children in Need

On Friday 15th November our schools raised over £2,500 for Children in Need. Many of the schools hosted non-school uniform days, whilst also organising special events and challenges. These included: Treloweth children and staff went to school dressed as their heroes – from superheroes like Batman and Wonder Woman, to local heroes, including firefighters, members of the ambulance service and police officers, and some children have even come in as their family members. The Crofty Multi Academy Trust Schools decided to organise their own Race for Life at the end of the school year and together they have raised an incredible £10,730 for Cancer Research UK. The Crofty Multi Academy Trust is made up of schools from the Pool, Redruth & Camborne area including; Illogan, Pencoys, Portreath, Roskear, Weeth, Lanner, Pennoweth, Rosemellin & Treloweth Primary schools. Year 5 & 6 Crofty Maths Challenge

The third and final Crofty Maths Challenge of 2019 was held on Tuesday at Heartlands. This time it was the turn of the Year 5 and 6s from the different Crofty schools. It was a glorious day and all the participants were excited to head outside and start the first activity – the QR code trail around Heartlands. Crofty Maths Challenge Y3 & 4

Despite the wind and the rain threatening to cancel the event, the Year 3&4 Crofty Maths Challenge was held on Tuesday this week. Nine of our MAT schools were in attendance and the day was a roaring success. Portreath came out on top this time with a huge score of 130, with Roskear only 2 points behind on 128 and Illogan taking 3rd place with 125! All the children did incredibly well over the whole day.
