Safeguarding

Crofty Education Trust is committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of every pupil. We expect all staff, governors/trustees, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment.

Every member of staff within Crofty understands that they have a collective responsibility for Safeguarding. We listen to our pupils and take seriously what they tell us. All staff, in every school, are trained in Safeguarding and Child Protection, and pupils are made aware of the adults they can talk to if they have any concerns. Staff are trained to look out for signs of physical/emotional harm or neglect and are required to report these to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Each school has a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and a at least one Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL). There is a Designated Safeguarding Lead Network group which is led by the Trust’s Safeguarding Lead.

The Trust’s Child Protection and Safeguarding policy is agreed by all schools and can be found in the policies section of each school website and on the Trust website.
