Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Introduction

Crofty Education Trust is committed to conducting its business ethically and with integrity. We are committed to ensuring that modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and exploitation have no place within our organisation or supply chains.

This statement sets out the steps that Crofty Education Trust has taken to understand and minimise the risk of modern slavery occurring within our operations and supply chains.

Our Organisation

Crofty Education Trust is a multi-academy trust providing education services across its schools. We recognise our responsibility to uphold human rights and promote ethical practices in all aspects of our work.

  • Working with suppliers and contractors who share our commitment to ethical business practices.

Due Diligence and Supply Chains

We recognise that the risk of modern slavery within the education sector is generally low; however, we remain vigilant in relation to procurement and supplier arrangements.

Where appropriate, we seek to:

  • Obtain goods and services from reputable suppliers.
  • Expect suppliers to comply with applicable employment and human rights legislation.
  • Raise concerns where there is evidence or suspicion of unethical practices.
  • Review supplier relationships where concerns regarding modern slavery are identified.

Policies and Procedures

The Trust has policies and procedures that support our commitment to preventing modern slavery, including:

  • Whistleblowing procedures;
  • Safeguarding policies;

  • Staff codes of conduct.

These policies help staff identify and report concerns and ensure that concerns are appropriately investigated.
